Description
The first generation of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time was discontinued a couple of years ago with the release of the updated Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection presented in 2016. Released at the end of 2017, the new Overseas Dual Time is now powered by an in-house calibre and boasts a new case design and dial layout.
Fitted with a 41 mm case —1.5 millimeters smaller than the previous iteration of the Overseas Dual Time ref. 47450—, the watch is available in either 18K 5N rose gold or stainless steel with its iconic bezel evoking Vacheron Constantin’s famous Maltese cross emblem.
One great thing about the new Overseas Dual Time is that the watch is now equipped with the amazing interchangeable strap system that Vacheron released with the revamped Overseas collection. The stainless steel model is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with half Maltese cross-shaped polished and satin-brushed links and delivered with two additional straps —alligator and rubber— matching the shade of the dial and equipped with an equally interchangeable stainless steel folding clasp.
The lacquered dials featured faceted and luminescent gold hands and hour markers; a double graduation bearing the minutes and seconds scales. While the hour’s hand indicates the local timezone corresponding to the user’s current location, the hand tipped with a triangular arrow —red in the case of the silver-toned dial— shows the time in a second timezone, generally known as “home time”.
On offer today is an excellent timepiece from 2021 with full box and papers.
